Art of Allowing One on One Workshop
This is a journey of discovery. Over two days over 5-6 hours each you will get in touch with your inner wise woman, and bring her image to the canvas. Although the process is mostly intuitive, I will guide you step by step with the vital techniques and tips that will help you to interpret your vision or intuitive sense of Her onto the canvas.
By the end of the second day you will have a completely unique and ORIGINAL painting to take home and enjoy. It is likely to that She will have some kind of message for you as well. You might feel that She is absolutely complete, or you might feel that a few minor tweaks are needed , but either way because of the power of the process and the support given, you will feel a sense of confidence and achievement in what you have created. A common response is "Wow, I can't believe that I painted that !"

Group Workshops
I am looking at offering workshops with the Art of Allowing process with small intimate groups of women in particular stages of life. Due to the intensity of the process , each group will contain no more than 5 participants and the process will be tailored to suit the needs of each life stage .
Some of the groups I'd love to work with are :
"Katrina's manner and gentleness allowed me to let myself go with my painting. I'm an artist of 3 short years ...a new artist....and I've never painted a nude or a profile... I was apprehensive, even fearful. Katrina guided me, not rushing me, helping me fix my errors....not taking over, making suggestions, even modelling her hand so I could get the shape right. She allowed me to take flight and go with my heart. I called my painting...Strong enough to stand in her naked truth... something that came from a quote that Katrina had sent me after my first day....how apt!
I loved this process, the idyllic setting, the chocolate (yum yum) the tea breaks and chats with Katrina were lovely and heartfelt. I would highly recommend anyone with a desire to "have a go" at painting to learn with Katrina. She is patient and kind and a gentle guide. I feel like my cup has been filled."

"The Art of Allowing course was fabulous. Katrina has a way of not rushing but also keeping the flow of the process going. Emotionally Katrina was able to hold space for me to reflect and ponder.
Technically she deftly saw the areas I was confident in and areas I needed more assistance with. She made suggestions of different paints for particular purposes and encouraged playing with unfamiliar materials and processes in a very supportive way. Katrina had resources at the ready, she had her own painting nearby to demonstrate with, and also guidance and reference materials for me to use. I felt free and supported all at once.
She confidently guided me through my own self-doubt without judgement, not making decisions, just guiding me through my own thoughts. I learnt a lot about the anatomy of the face and hands, how to highlight and shade and much more. I could have happily painted for many more days.
There was something akin to a therapeutic relationship that developed through the guided part at the beginning and her steady guidance and presence throughout the two days. I felt nurtured, cared for, understood and supported. There was a real essence of manaakitanga (holding the mana / respect of us both, welcoming nature) and whanaungatanga (feeling like part of her friendship). Katrina’s willingness to share her gifts and talents is love"
